Birdseye Book Cover Design
This novel by Mark Kurlansky showcases the many trials and errors that took place to perfect the craft of freezing foods - and yes, without the gross freezer burn aftertaste. After reading about Birdseye's unbelievable bouts with food preservation, I decided to design a book cover honoring one of his earliest attempts. This involved thrifting a fur coat to replicate the hide often used for insulation, a large block of ice, and many meticulous hours of freezing peas into letters.
